Why don't you give exact delivery time?

This book provides a comprehensive attempt to adopt an 'integrated' interdisciplinary approach to the study of fisheries. Fisheries are discussed as holistic 'systems', with emphasis on their structure, operation and dynamics. The book's interdisciplinary approach is applied to an analysis of problems faced in pursuing 'sustainable fisheries', with emphasis on six dominant themes: sustainability, uncertainty, complexity, conflict, fishing rights and the nature of management. Within this discussion, several major directions in current fishery thinking are explored, notably the precautionary approach, the ecosystem approach, co-management, and robust management for resilient fisheries.
A wide range of topics of vital importance to fisheries and their sustainability are covered in this comprehensive, interdisciplinary book. The book is divided into two parts: the first describes the various natural, human and management components of the fishery system, while the second explores recurring themes arising across fisheries, such as sustainability, resilience, uncertainty, complexity and conflict. Key approaches that are emerging as critical to sustainability are covered in depth, notably the precautionary approach, the ecosystem approach, the co-management approach, rights-based approaches and robust management.
The author, Anthony Charles, has written a clearly-presented book which will be of great value to undergraduate and graduate students across a wide range of fishery-related disciplines. The book provides an important source of reference and practical information for professionals in the academic and management sides of the fishery, as well as those in the fishing industry itself. Sustainable Fishery Systems should also be made available on the shelves of libraries in universities, research centres and government establishments world wide, wherever fishery sciences and fishery management are studied and taught.
"Sustainable Fishery Systems is the most comprehensive treatise I have read on the subject of fisheries systems. Readers will be hard-pressed to find a fisheries-related topic that is not at least touched upon or mentioned in passing, and many topics are treated with thoroughness." (Fish and Fisheries)
