Anhand von exemplarischen Analysen gehen die Beiträge in diesem Band grundlegenden Forschungsfragen nach, die sich aus der Konzeption von Grammatik als Netzwerk von Konstruktionen ergeben: Sprachliches Wissen setzt sich aus einem strukturierten Set an Form-Bedeutungspaaren (Konstruktionen) zusammen, das man als Netzwerk bzw. Konstruktikon auffassen kann. Relevante Aspekte betreffen theoretische und empirische Fragen zur Repräsentation von grammatischem Wissen in einem Netzwerk von Konstruktionen, konkrete Anwendungsbereiche in den Bereichen Morphologie, Syntax und Spracherwerb unter Einbeziehung synchroner und diachroner Untersuchungsgesichtspunkte sowie Möglichkeiten, die Konstruktionsgrammatik mit anderen, teilweise verwandten, teilweise konkurrierenden Ansätzen und Grammatiktheorien (FrameNet, Integrative Linguistik, HPSG, projektionsbasierte Ansätze) in den Dialog treten zu lassen.
Der Band richtet sich sowohl an ein fachkundiges Publikum als auch an jene, die sich für die Konstruktionsgrammatik interessieren und einen ersten Zugang zu gebrauchsbasierten Ansätzen suchen.
