    This book focuses on employment sectors where students in sport management are most likely to be professionally active. It builds on the specific features of the ‘European Model of Sport’ and includes insight-interviews with over 20 sport managers and executives who share their practical experience. It investigates the non-profit sector, addressing topics such as strategic management, professionalization and diversity management, as well as the for-profit sector in the context of innovation, data management, regulation and sports marketing. Chapters also examine management issues in the public sector, including grassroots sports and health policies, and current and future challenges facing European sport management, such as esports, and tourism sustainability.
