Band 12 des Kommentars widmet sich dem Herzstück des Europäischen Zivilprozessrechts, der Brüssel Ia-VO (EuGVVO). Die Kommentierung stellt die durch die Neufassung der Verordnung 2015 induzierten Veränderungen dar. Sie ist bestrebt, sowohl die Regelungen der VO und das auf ihrer Grundlage entstandene Richterrecht in den Kontext des deutschen Zivilprozessrechts zu integrieren als auch die Sachfragen des Europäischen Zivilprozessrechts aus einer gemeineuropäischen Perspektive zu behandeln. The new Volume 12 of the Commentary deals with European civil procedure law and its core, the Brussels 1a Regulation. It outlines the questions and changes related to the revised version from 2015 with regard to the hitherto existing legal situation. It attempts to integrate not only the provisions of the Brussels 1a Regulation and the case law which originated from it into the context of German civil procedure law but also to deal with the pertinent questions of European civil procedure law from a common European perspective.

Band 12 des Kommentars widmet sich dem Herzstück des Europäischen Zivilprozessrechts, der Brüssel Ia-VO (EuGVVO). Die Verordnung ist mit Wirkung zum 10.1.2015 neugefasst worden. Die Kommentierung stellt die Änderungen gegenüber der bisherigen Rechtslage dar und greift die mit der Neufassung verbundenen Fragen auf. Sie verfolgt das Ziel, die Regelungen der VO und das auf ihrer Grundlage entstandene Richterrecht in den Kontext des deutschen Zivilprozessrechts zu integrieren, ist aber gleichzeitig darum bemüht, die Sachfragen des Europäischen Zivilprozessrechts aus einer gemeineuropäischen Perspektive zu behandeln. Die Entscheidungen des EuGH werden dabei einer kritischen Analyse unterzogen und auf ihre Folgen für das Verhalten der Parteien und ihrer Anwälte abgeklopft. Christoph Thole hat die Kommentierung der maßgeblichen Regelungen des Zuständigkeitsrechts übernommen. Gerhard Wagner kommentiert weiterhin den zentralen besonderen Gerichtsstand des Art. 7 der VO. Christian Koller erläutert die dem Anerkennungs- und Vollstreckungsrecht zugehörigen Vorschriften der VO.
