This collection of essays by leading experts, all but one published here for the first time, introduces and critically examines his ideas both in their context and in their relevance to contemporary debates.
The main achievement of the editors and contributors to this well organized book is that of revealing that a philosophy which, like Green's, has usually been remained obscure and difficult to approach, can give fresh stimulus to political and philosophical debates that too often seem to get bogged down in fruitless oppositions which only push away reasonable solutions. By reading this book, anyone who is interested in current debates would have the possibility of being surprised by a philosopher who for so long has been unfairly undervalued and stereotyped.
