Why don't you give exact delivery time?

This book contains the results of an R&D initiative of the European aluminum industry to apply modern modeling tools so as to develop new methods of virtual fabrication. Industrial experts divulge their own experience to provide a concise overview of the possibilities and success of modeling to date, the critical features and where improved modeling is considered necessary. The book covers the most important aluminum alloys and applications, and concludes with an outlook on the developments envisaged for the next five to ten years. An essential reference for scientists and engineers involved in the aluminum industry and working on aluminum processing and application issues.
Jürgen Hirsch is senior scientist of Research and Development of Hydro Aluminum Deutschland in Bonn, Germany. He is Honorary Professor for Metallurgy at the RWTH Aachen. His current research interests focus on the development of new modelling tools for real industrial manufacturing processes of Aluminium semi finished products and their application. Aluminum production is the second largest metal market worldwide, and the number of applications is still growing. To save extensively, high costly and time consuming industrial testing, the main European aluminum producers started to develop new methods of virtual fabrication applicable to the complete process chain of semifinished products (e.g. sheet, extrusions etc.) to predict the microstrucure evolution and resulting material properties. This book contains the results of this R&D initiative of the European aluminum industry, represented by the 'EAA' (European Aluminum Association). It gives a concise overview on the main mass products of conventional Al-Alloys, the fundamentals and possibilities of modelling, the critical features and where improved modeling is seen to be necessary . It will be an essential reference for scientists and engineers involved in the aluminum industry and working on aluminum processing and application issues. back cover bottom text : Aluminium Thanks to its unique properties, aluminium is able to provide intelligent solutions for present and future generations. It is lightweight yet strong, durable and corrosion-resistant, formable, highly conductive, aesthetically pleasing and, above all, recyclable. EAA The European Aluminium Association, founded in 1981, represents the European aluminium industry, from alumina and primary production, to manufacture of semi-finished and end-use products, right through to recycling. This industry currently employs around 255 000 people in Western Europe.
