Why don't you give exact delivery time?

Delivery time is estimated on our previous experiences. We give estimations only, because we order from outside Hungary, and the delivery time mainly depends on how quickly the publisher supplies the book. Faster or slower deliveries both happen, but we do our best to supply as quickly as possible.

    Short description:

It is becoming increasingly apparent that the interaction between plants and animals is one of the principle factors governing the composition and structure of marine benthic communities. In this volume a number of renowned experts together present a much-needed modern review of the subject. It provides a valuable synthesis and evaluation of the current state of our knowledge of plant-animal interactions in fully marine habitats. Much emphasis is placed upon the
relationship between herbivores and their food plants.

    Long description:

Marine ecologists have been leaders in a trend to break down the traditional compartmentalization of the life sciences. This is evident from a large volume of research on plant-animal interactions within the marine environment, which has contributed greatly to our understanding of coastal ecosystems and to general ecological concepts. In this book, leading experts consider the current state of our knowledge of plant-animal interactions as they influence the
distribution, community structure, and abundance of benthic marine organisms. Interactions in different habitats are authoritatively reviewed from both regional and global perspectives, emphasis being placed on the relationship between herbivorous animals and their food plants. Special consideration is given
to bioerosion caused by interactions and to endosymbiosis involving algae and cnidarians.

'The advantages of this volume are the well-written reviews that make a great introduction to the field, but also offer thought-provoking ideas to those cognisant with the subject. This book offers a valuable inventory of what we know and contains enough for the careful reader to identify profitable avenues for future research.'
Steve J. Hall, The Scottish Office Agriculture and Fisheries Department, Trends in Ecology & Evolution, September 1992, Vol. 7, No. 9
