Why don't you give exact delivery time?
Delivery time is estimated on our previous experiences. We give estimations only, because we order from outside Hungary, and the delivery time mainly depends on how quickly the publisher supplies the book. Faster or slower deliveries both happen, but we do our best to supply as quickly as possible.

Short description:
This Element explores the performance of female queer intimacy in Japan's Takarazuka Revue.
MoreLong description:
Japan's Takarazuka Revue is arguably the most commercially successful all-female theatre company in the world. Renowned for its glamour-laden staging of musicals and revues, the company's signature shows are heterosexual Western romances where women play both male and female roles. Since its audience consists almost entirely of women, Takarazuka creates a space for queer intimacy between performers and ardent female fans. This Element analyses the recent experimental show, The Poe Clan, directed by Koike Sh&&&363;ichir&&&333;, which portrays a male homoerotic relationship, argued as a fa&&&231;ade for a queer, kin-like relationship between women. It also explores works by the female director Ueda Kumiko, which depict an anti-capitalist shared commons for female intimacy. These shows exhibit resistant girls' aesthetics, expressed in the company's two-dimensional performance style.
MoreTable of Contents:
1. Gender and sexual conundrum of the Takarazuka revue; 2. Female queer kinship and the Poe Clan; 3. Ueda Kumiko's experiments: De-capitalising Takarazuka Postscript; References.
