    In Nordelbingen, new research on the history of art, culture, architecture, literature and music in Schleswig-Holstein is published in open access. The yearbook is aimed at specialised scholars as well as those interested in the various disciplines. It publishes essays and reviews relating to the area north of the Elbe, including Lübeck and Hamburg. Volume 90 contains 11 thematically diverse papers, ranging from the commercial buildings of Preetz Abbey to the foundation of the Way of the Cross in Heide, the Bordesholm Altar, Persian silk fabrics from Gottorf Castle, the ballroom in Kiel, church music history from Lübeck, Klopstock settings, railway and pilgrimage in the 19th century, the history of the ship 'Watussi' and music history sources in the Schleswig-Holstein State Archives. The edition also includes an overview of Schleswig-Holstein literature in 2023 as well as an extensive review section.
