Da für diese Jahrzehnte literarische Quellen weitgehend fehlen, kommt den epigraphischen eine besondere Bedeutung zu. Sie bezeugen die innere Verfassung der Stadt, ihre Abhängigkeit von verschiedenen hellenitischen Königen und ihren beständigen Kampf um Unabhängigkeit.
Die Inschriften sind durch Indices erschlossen und werden, soweit erhalten, fotographisch abgebildet.
