Sein Werdegang war geprägt von einem einmaligen Gespür für ästhetisches Wirken, das er seinen Schülerinnen und Schülern als Professor für Textil-Design an der Hochschule Niederrhein zu vermitteln verstand und inspiriert von der Verbindung zu Künstlerkollegen wie Max Ernst und René Laubi?s. Anhand von über 100 Werken, darunter Aquarelle, Fotografien, Druckgrafiken, Gemälde, Petit-Point-Stickereien, Wandbehänge und Zeichnungen, veranschaulicht dieser Band die Stilentwicklung und ästhetische Formensprache der Kunst Helmut Hahns.
