Why don't you give exact delivery time?

Delivery time is estimated on our previous experiences. We give estimations only, because we order from outside Hungary, and the delivery time mainly depends on how quickly the publisher supplies the book. Faster or slower deliveries both happen, but we do our best to supply as quickly as possible.

    Long description:

Divided into three parts dealing with environmental crisis and its cause, understanding the crisis, and possible remedial measures, the book provides a balanced understanding of the major issues and concerns related to the environment, both locally in India and globally. From threatened ecosystems, disappearing forests, and endangered species to depleting natural resources, escalating pollution, growing population, and dangerous toxins-the book addresses the major environmental crises confronting us today. Using environment-related stories and real-life cases from the Indian and global contexts, the book illustrates the various problems we encounter in our daily lives, provides possible solutions, and recounts successes and failures. The evocative line drawings and sketches complementing the text often present self-complete stories in themselves.

The appendices on further reading (books, magazines, and websites), resources (organizations, etc.), interesting trivia, and a glossary of terms are a special feature of the volume. Aiming to generate increased sensitivity among readers towards environmental issues, it tries to inculcate in us an appreciation of the seriousness of the environmental crisis at the local and global levels.

This book is not a mere textbook. The author has written with passion and zeal ... In fact, I have read out the book's account on the Bhopal gas tragedy to my students and received silence as their affirmation of the seriousness of the world's worst industrial disaster ... The author makes clear suggestions on what must be done, including collective and individually conducted actions ... The dispersion of facts and figures throughout the book will engage the wandering student mind of the amateur environmentalist. It felt good to have read this book as it made me feel closer to my green home. It has also made me feel more responsible and realise once again the urgency of the planetary crisis.
