Delivery time is estimated on our previous experiences. We give estimations only, because we order from outside Hungary, and the delivery time mainly depends on how quickly the publisher supplies the book. Faster or slower deliveries both happen, but we do our best to supply as quickly as possible.

MoreLong description:
Water Treatment: Resource Recovery and Sustainability provides a comprehensive overview of the latest research in increasing the sustainability of water treatment processes. The use of non-traditional water sources, such as desalination of sea water and reuse of treated wastewater, is increasingly important given the paucity of freshwater resources globally. Only a very small fraction of the Earth?s water is fresh surface water easily available for use, whilst 40% of the global population are classed as living in high water stress areas. As such, increasing effort is being made to tap into non-traditional water sources, such as desalination of sea water and reuse of treated waste water, to make up this shortfall.
This volume presents the latest research in methods for limiting the environmental and economic costs of the processes involved in using non-traditional sources of water. To increase the efficiency of treatment processes and optimize water recovery and reuse, research has focused on recovery of resources from their associated waste streams, including recovery of: heat, pressure and generation of electricity from salinity gradients; nutrients such as nitrogen and phosphates: recovery of valuable minerals including metals concentrated in desalination brine as well as optimization of water recovery and reuse from wastewater sources. This comprehensive volume is aimed at graduate students, researchers and academics working in or teaching within this subject area and will be of interest to water industry professionals.
