John Wall has a track record working in industry, as a lecturer, researcher, programme administration at national and international level, working in a third level institution in Australia and senior manager in Waterford Institute of Technology in Ireland. As Head of School Lifelong Learning and Education, John lead the team that managed the migration from a proprietary Learning Management System (LMS) WebCT to an open source solution Moodle. John has secured national and international funding to undertake research in technology enhanced learning, leading an ER research project focused on the CPD needs of construction professionals in Europe, involving partners from UK, Germany, Turkey and Ireland. Prior to working in academia, John word as a design engineer on a number of infrastructure projects in Ireland, and an engineer in the construction industry managing a variety of projects in the UK.
