In diesem kraftvollen Programm der Kontraste wird Dvoáks StreichquintettNr. 3, das 1893 in Amerika komponiert wurde, von zwei konzentrierten, akribisch geformten WerkenKurtágs eingerahmt den Six Moments musicaux (2005) und dem Officium breve in memoriam AndreaeSzervánszky (1988/89). Das besondere Gespür für Kurtágs singuläre Musiksprache ist nicht zuletzt dasErgebnis einer intensiven Zusammenarbeit mit dem ungarischen Komponisten. Das Album wurde im Studiodes Radio DRS in Zürich aufgenommen.
