Judith Kopp analysiert anhand des Fluchtursachen-Diskurses, wie gesellschaftliche Akteur*innen strategisch darum ringen, ihre Interessen durchzusetzen. Dazu zeichnet sie die Herausbildung des hegemonialen Verständnisses von Fluchtursachenbekämpfung kritisch nach. Dieses schreibt sich in die Reorganisation des EU-Grenzregimes nach 2015 ein. Gleichzeitig verweisen die diskursiven Kämpfe auf eine stärkere Sichtbarkeit von Geflüchteten vor dem Hintergrund globaler Nord-Süd-Verhältnisse.
