Der Zweck der in diesem Buch veröffentlichten Forschungsarbeit bestand darin, das Erosions-Korrosions-Verhalten von Substrat-Kesselrohrstahl (ASTM A213-T22) und einer durch Plasmaspritzen aufgebrachten Cr2O3-Beschichtung zu analysieren. Die Temperaturerosion und Korrosionsbeständigkeit von unbeschichtetem und beschichtetem T-22-Kesselrohrstahl wurde unter simulierten Laborbedingungen untersucht. Die vollständigen Ergebnisse dieser Forschungsarbeit sind in fünf Kapiteln zusammengefasst.
