    Bioprocess Engineering & Technology: Fundamentals, Upstream and Downstream Processing and Plant Design (Three volume set) covers upstream and downstream processes as well as practical aspects in bioprocess plant design and project engineering, process economics, IPR, and biobusiness prospects related to bioprocess engineering. The first volume introduces the reader to basics in both engineering and life sciences required for designing an optimal bioprocess system. The book encompasses life science subjects such as cell physiology, microbiology, biochemistry, and molecular biology for the benefit of engineers and contains engineering fundamentals required for life science experts which are restricted to fluid mechanics, reaction engineering, heat and mass transfer, and analytical techniques involved in bioprocess engineering. Volume 2 discusses the various cellular interventions that are required for the upstream processes in bioprocess engineering such as growth requirement of different cell types, their maintenance, and various recombinant strategies/tools available to identify and develop a cellular factory for high level synthesis of a desired product. The third volume deals with the practical aspects in bioprocess plant design, project engineering, process economics, IPR, and biobusiness prospects related to bioprocess engineering.
