Stephan Balkenhol (geb. 1957) hat im Auftrag der NATIONAL-BANK, Essen, eine monumentale Bronzeskulptur für das Bredeneyer Kreuz geschaffen. Das Werk mit dem Titel Duett zeigt einen Flügel mit zwei Figuren - die Sängerin im roten Abendkleid steht hoch oben auf dem Instrument, während der Pianist bäuchlings darauf liegend die Tasten spielt. Der hochwertig ausgestattete Band präsentiert die Arbeit im Kontext von Balkenhols Gesamtwerk sowie zahlreicher Vorzeichnungen und Fotos des Entstehungsprozesses und der Aufstellung der Skulptur in Essen.
