Das Album Leonardo Vinci Veni, Vidi, Vinci entstand in Zusammenarbeit mit dem Ensemble Il Pomo dOro, das sich der historischen Aufführungspraxis verpflichtet hat, unter Leitung seiner Konzertmeisterin Zefira Valova und enthält sieben Welt-Ersteinspielungen. Die Aufnahme erinnert an das Können eines Komponisten, dessen Musik die Zuhörer des 18. Jahrhunderts faszinierte und die noch heute durch Virtuosität und Ausdruckskraft begeistert. Leonardo Vincis (16901730) erste ernste Oper wurde 1722 am Teatro San Bartolomeo in Neapel uraufgeführt und war so erfolgreich, dass er sich neu orientierte und fortan dazu beitrug, die aufkommende Gattung der opera seria zu prägen. Zu Vincis Lebzeiten beeinflussten die Schlichtheit seiner Melodik und seine Vorliebe für Verzierungen viele andere Komponisten, darunter seinen Schüler Pergolesi sowie Zeitgenossen wie Vivaldi und Händel.Für Fagiolis vorheriges Album Handel Arias erhielt der Countertenor fantastische Besprechungen: Die Zeitschrift Gramophone rühmte dessen 'aufregende Koloraturen', das 'Spektrum stimmlicher Farben und Nuancen' und den 'dramatischen Impetus'.
