Long description:
[Protestant Social Ethics. Traditions and Perspectives]
Protestant social ethics is in a situation of change: A variety of old and new topics has to be reflected in the light of the Gospel, the need for ethically informed advice in the public is increasing, in universities knowledge transfer is becoming a core competence alongside teaching and research. Ethical expertise is also in demand in the media, although the voices of theological ethics are rarely listened to, not least because the influence of the churches is decreasing. Against this background, this volume attempts to describe the current position by asking about the significance and role of Protestant social ethics based on historical lines of tradition and discussing exemplary themes.
