Im zweiten Teil geht es um das Verhältnis von Wissenschaft und Schulpraxis. Dabei werden Probleme der Verwendbarkeit pädagogisch-sozialwissenschaftlichen Wissens und Probleme der Wissenschaftsdidaktik untersucht. Der dritte Teil behandelt das Verhältnis von Wissenschaft und Arbeiterbewegung. Zum Schluß wird das Vermittlungsproblem zwischen den Wissensformen auf das konkrete gesellschaftliche Verhältnis bezogen, in dem die naturwissenschaftliche Intelligenz zu den Gesellschaftsmitgliedern steht, deren Arbeits- und Lebenssituation besonders stark durch Anwendung und Nichtanwendung von Wissenschaft geprägt ist."
